Time flies! It seems like it was yesterday the first NextGenBiocat has been held but we are already on the 6^th version of this great symposium. Next Generation Biocatalysis (NextGenBiocat) is a conference organized by young scientist for young scientist and a great possibility for the next generation of researchers in the field of biocatalysis to network and to see what is happening in the field. This year it will take place at the TU Munich, Germany focusing on

 Applied biocatalysis

-Elucidation of enzymatic mechanisms
-Protein, reaction and metabolic engineering (including computational tools)
-Light-promoted enzymatic processes
-Ultra-high-thoughput screening methods for enzyme discovery and optimization
-Design of novel multi-enzyme cascade reactions
